Nestlé USA caters to cravings on the other-side-of-the-Atlantic, from a child's sweet tooth to a grown-up's caffeine fix. A major subsidiary of Swiss food giant Nestlé S.A., Nestlé USA produces well-known food brands including frozen pizza (Tombstone, DiGiorno), chocolate and candies (Baby Ruth, Goobers), beverages (Nestea, Taster's Choice, Nesquick), juices (Juicy Juice), canned milk (Carnation), ice cream (Edy's, Häagan-Dazs), baking goods (Nestlé Toll House, Libby's), and prepared meals (Stouffer's, Lean Cuisine). Nestlé USA has been present in the US for more than 100 years and operates 25 manufacturing facilities, 43 distribution centers, and 13 sales offices in the country.

Parent-company Nestle S.A.'s operations in the US consist of seven main businesses: Nestlé USA, Nestlé Purina PetCare Company, Nestlé Waters North America, Nestlé Nutrition, Nestlé Professional, Nespresso, and Nestlé Health Science. These US affiliates brought in $26 billion in sales in 2014 for its Swiss-based parent, representing the largest portion (a third) of its total sales worldwide. Nestlé USA brought in a large chunk, with sales of $9.7 billion in 2014.


Nestle USA continues to innovate its candy products to keep its products fresh in the minds of consumers. In 2015, for example, it introduce its new SweeTarts Ropes candy, which holds the well-known candies on a licorice-style rope that is shareable and contains no artificial colors or flavors. Also that year, its Skinny Cow Brand introduced new ice cream and chocolate candy flavors, along with new creamy iced coffee drinks. In 2014, the company partnered with Girl Scouts to market candy bars based on the best selling cookies.

In response to higher demands for its Boost nutritional drinks and Carnation Breakfast Essentials drinks, the company in 2013 invested $72 million into its Anderson, Indiana plant to significantly expand the plant's production capacity.
