American Foods Group is a
Green Bay packer. With facilities in that Wisconsin city and cities in four other Midwestern states, the company slaughters cattle to process more than 6.5 million pounds of beef a day. Its lineup comprises an assortment of ground beef and specialty cuts, such as bone-in tenderloin, boneless beef roast, and consumer-ready variety meats, as well as specialty brands, including Halal Meats and America's Heartland Organic Ground Beef. The group supplies beef to the US retail grocery and foodservice markets, federal school lunch programs, and American soldiers worldwide. It also exports to markets in some 38 countries. The fifth-largest beef processing company in the US, American Foods comprises five butcher (referred to as harvesting) and processing plants, two ground beef plants, and three case-ready processing plants. Some of its meat-processing plants are leased to AER Services, a rabbinical butcher that provides
with its Hebrew National meat. American Foods sells cattle to AER for ritual slaughter.
As part of Rosen's Diversified, American Foods leverages the related (vertical) competencies of its sister subsidiaries. Its parent company owns and runs America's Service Line, a 48-state carrier with 175 trucks, 280 refrigerated trailers, and 175 tractors delivery fleet. The shipper gives American Foods control over deliveries, in addition to serving other companies. Rosen's holdings also engage in pet food production, fetal bovine serum supply, and agricultural chemical distribution.
American Foods exports to nearly 40 countries, including Dubai and Hong Kong. Its processing plants are located in five Midwestern states: Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Ohio.
