Downers

Pay is average
No real upward mobility
There's no system in place remove ineffectual managers

Advice to Candidates

Understand that Moody's is a wonderful company to start your career, but be sure that if a better opportunity for growth comes along, whether it is in the company or outside of the company, take it because, depending on your manager, you may not grow at the speed you wish. You can easily languish in your position for a long period of time if you are not proactive.

Also, even though Moody's says they have an open door policy, be very mindful of the fact that it can come to bite you in the rear as managers tend to stick together.
