Resource Group (PRG) is a proper provider. The company offers
lighting, audio, scenery, video, and labor services for
entertainment entities in markets such as corporate and special
events, tradeshow, theater, concert touring, television and film
production, retail, and themed attraction. PRG has more than
30 offices located in North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
The company's clients and past projects include Aerosmith,
Pearl Jam, and Celebrity Poker Showdown. PRG was founded
in 1982 by chairman and CEO Jere Harris, who
was formerly active in Broadway production management.
PRG has grown to its current size and reach
through a steady stream of acquisitions. In 2011 it purchased Pow!
Pix, a company that rents post-production equipment and services
and provides on-site editing for live events and other broadcasts.
Pow! Pix has worked on productions such as The Daily
Show, The Colbert Report, the Olympics, and the
Super Bowl. PRG used the deal to form its Media Services Group.
Earlier that year PRG increased its presence in Europe when it
bought First Events BVBA, an entertainment technology company with
operations in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Spain.
In 2010 PRG added to its holdings with two key acquisitions. It
purchased Innovative Event Production to gain a presence in
the Washington, DC market and surrounding area, and Davis Audio
Visual, which bolsters its corporate and tradeshow services
division and enhance its presence in the Denver market. PRG
expanded internationally the previous year with the acquisition of
PROCON, an entertainment technology company headquartered in
Germany with offices in Belgium, France, Switzerland, China, and
