SANYO is on the go. SANYO North America, a subsidiary of Panasonic Corp., oversees more than 10 companies that make and sell a variety of consumer products, including electronics (TVs, VCRs, DVD players, audio systems, MP3 players, wireless phones, and digital cameras), and home appliances (microwave ovens, vacuums, refrigerators, and freezers). It also makes products for industrial use, such as semiconductors and electronic components. SANYO North America's Environmental Solutions unit offers guidance on sustainability and energy efficiency. SANYO North America operates service companies that offer everything from service for SANYO products to logistics and customs brokerage services.
SANYO North America's parent company, SANYO Electric, is owned by Panasonic Corporation, which acquired all of SANYO in 2011. In time, Panasonic plans to retire the SANYO brand and rebrand all products under its own name.
SANYO North America oversees manufacturing operations for solar, energy, and electronic goods, among other categories. It also operates sales, service, brokerage, and logistics offices in the US, Mexico, and Canada.
North America is SANYO's major market for flat-panel televisions, as well as digital cameras and projectors.
Sales and Marketing
The customers of SANYO North America include commercial, government, private, residential, municipal, and university institutions, including the University of Colorado and Ohio State University, John Deere, and Briggs & Stratton. It also serves retailers and online distributors.
