Savi brings practical know-how to supply chains. The company's logistics informatics systems combine supply chain asset management, security, and collaborative software with radio-frequency identification (RFID) tracking devices to enable the monitoring of supplies, equipment, and other cargo through a global supply chain. Savi serves commercial and government clients in military and defense, oil and gas, mining, and manufacturing industries, among others. Owned by investment firm LaSalle Capital, Savi partners with such technology firms as Computer Sciences Corporation, IBM, Intermec, and SAP.
Change in Company Type
LaSalle Capital bought Savi in late 2012 from Lockheed Martin, which had owned the firm since 2006. Investments from LaSalle will allow Savi to accelerate growth via the pursuit of global opportunities.
Savi has US satellite offices in Kentucky and California; its international offices are located in Australia and the UK. The company’s RFID network spans more than 50 countries.
Boasting the world's largest RFID network -- deployed in 52 countries -- Savi has made significant investments in research and development, resulting in some 115 patents. Its Savi Insight and software applications use sensor data to turn it into actionable information.
Savi is focused on supply chain analytics and is a leader in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). To this end, in 2014 Savi rolled out nine new active RFID products to provide immediate and dramatic advances in storage capacity, performance, and usability. Products include new sensors, readers, and portable deployment kits.
Launched in 2014, Savi Insight is the first cloud-based sensor analytics product for the Internet of Things (IoT).
To extend the reach of its business to Europe, Savi inked a worldwide mutual reseller agreement with IDENTEC, a pioneer in Intelligent Long Range active RFID technology used in the maritime, oil and gas, and industrial sectors.
