eClinicalWorks helps physicians focus on their patients by
offering a hand in organizing their administrative records. The
company provides medical software that manages medical
documents. It serves both small and mid-sized health care
practitioners and large practice groups, such as the New York
City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the Massachusetts
eHealth Collaborative. The eClinicalWorks clients roster
includes some 70,000 physicians and more than 410,000 medical
professionals operating businesses throughout the US. Owned by
its executives and employees, the provides software for
primary care practices and most medical specialties.
From its base in Westborough, Massachusetts, eClinicalWorks runs
offices in Chicago, New York, California, and Georgia.
While eClinicalWorks extends the reach of its business to new
physician groups, the company in late 2012 began to
expand its corporate headquarters. In Westborough, it
purchased a 61,000-sq.-ft. building adjacent to its
corporate office for $7.7 million to provide the company with
future elbow room and a principal headquarters complex.
The software company has seen its revenue steadily grow in
recent years. Sales have reached $200 million in 2011 from a more
modest $7 million in 2004.
