Toshiba America Information Systems (TAIS), a subsidiary of Toshiba America, provides consumer electronics products in the US and Latin America through its five divisions: Digital Products, Visual Products, Imaging Systems, Storage Devices, and Telecommunications Systems. The company's products include Internet protocol-based surveillance equipment for security, medical, and industrial use; televisions; Blu-ray video players; storage devices for automotive, computers, and consumer electronics; camcorders; portable computers, notebooks, and accessories; and VoIP telephone systems. TAIS also offers a line of tablets, which run on Google's Android OS.
Toshiba merged TAIS and Toshiba America Consumer Products LLC into one company in 2010, with the consumer products business becoming part of the Digital Products Division of TAIS. TAIS added LCD televisions, Blu-ray disc players, portable DVD players, and other consumer electronics products to its portfolio in the corporate consolidation.

Sales and Marketing

TAIS is putting its displays on display in a push to expand sales of its commercial video equipment. The company is working with distributors to put its displays in retail stores, bars and restaurants, corporations, and education settings. Its range of displays runs from large format units and video wall displays to touch screens as well as video servers and control systems.
