Sales and Marketing
Ricoh Americas sells its products directly or through its network of authorized dealers.
The company has used various partnerships and joint ventures to grow its business. In 2014 it teamed up with health care software maker InterSystems for a new service that uses a Ricoh camera to take a picture of a patient's injury for their electronic health record.
Mergers and Acquisitions
Ricoh sees the most potential in offering services, not just selling office equipment to businesses. In early 2014 parent Ricoh bought mindSHIFT Technologies to expand its managed services offering. mindSHIFT provides IT Services to more than 6,900 small and mid-sized businesses in the US.
Ricoh Americas expanded its forensic services in 2012, acquiring computer forensics and electronic discovery firm HSSK Forensics. HSSK offered technology known as Remlox that allowed remote gather a forensic image of a computer without having to physically visit the premises where it is located.
