Advice to Candidates

In a matter of a few years Blair has evolved from a leading middle market firm to a premier global boutique. That is reflected in a number of ways, including: the significant increase in both the number and average size of M&A transactions (which are frequently valued in the billions), our #1 M&A advisor rankings by mergermarket and Pitchbook when PE is involved (arguably the most sophisticated buyer of investment banking services), our large and growing pipeline even with a high rate of transactions closing, our Investment Bank of the Year award by Mergers & Acquisitions magazine, and our ability to attract and retain thought-leading talent, just to name a few.

The people and culture. We have significant talent that self-selects to be on the William Blair platform. The Partnership structure allows us to attract and retain the best talent (that are a good fit for us)

It is still investment banking and a tough lifestyle. There is no escaping that.

Advice to Candidates

William Blair is a tremendous place to build a career. The long-term orientation and focus on investing in our people is real.

I'm happy to be here.
