Incompetent Managers

The company culture promises good; boasts on the same but in practice there is none ; unsure if that may be due to specific people in the project; but senior management does not act to correct such issues..

Not quality people in IT. Do not expect to be recognized even at the least, in spite of good works; unless you are in the known network. The environment is cut throat; exploitation towards resignation or worse such as emergency or death. Some managers have tie-up with infosys and prefer to hire infosys people who works on their own schedule like 4-5 hrs. It is not clear how incompetent hires/ Managers are resulting to any revenue.

Advice to Candidates

Joining UBS should be the last choice. There is no attempt to retain good people.

UBS is very good in niche sectors and very good at leveraged finance which is an excellent skillset and makes you an attractive candidate

Excellent culture if you find the right team. Feels more like a family in certain respects. Growing firm in the US, so lots of opportunities. Brand prestige is global--surprising how the firm is less well regarded in the US--only since the financial crisis.
