Working with some of the smartest bankers in the world.

Some employees still have an infteriority complex relative to large US and international competitors.

Comments

TD is an excellent organization if you are looking for a collaborative work environment and an organization that focuses on employee development and satisfaction.

The growth in the US, the position of the firm in difficult markets, the culture and the people - there are many tenured employees here, people want to stay and grow and move up at the firm and the firm supports that and promotes meritocracy.

Downers

The lack of profile in the US currently, but it is improving.

Positive work environment. Opportunity for advancement. Very stable company.

Downers

Thinly staffed.

Entry-level in Corporate Finance

3.4 of 5 stars

New York, NY | 2010 | VERIFIED EMPLOYEE

Uppers

The biggest positive is the Manager/Junior Staff relations, as the most important thing is to be able to work with the people that you see almost every day. For banking, this certainly qualifies as a "relaxed" working environment.

Downers

The hours can be very volatile, making it hard to make plans in your personal life. Although compensation could be better, TD will likely be more aggressive with compensation, in order to prevent people from leaving for other firms.

Comments

While the hours can be long, the amount that you learn is very rewarding. I would stress that, while there is still a lot of "grunt" work that comes with this job, you do a lot more from an analytical stand-point than typical banking analysts.
