Nightmare Experience

1.0 of 5 stars

August 2017 | FORMER EMPLOYEE

Uppers

The Investment Banking Internship could have been worst, even though its hard to imagine how.

Downers

They sell the firm on the "culture" that the cultivate, but that couldn't be any further from the truth (especially within their Investment Banking Division). Diversity statistics were ridiculous (3 black interns out of 214), yelling and screaming was excessive and development and training of junior individuals was nonexistent (1 day of official intern training and the "intern project" was a fake presentation thrown together a the last minute).

Comments

Run for the hills, and if you make the horrible choice to stay make sure you provide a honest review of how terrible the experience was because it's not fair for those that come after you to be warned.

Comments

One will always be busy here but will have a great network of people to help support you and recognize your work. RBC at the end of the day is an investment bank and one should be prepared for a fast paced environment and often long hours.

Quality of life/workload not work it for where RBC currently is in Europe (i.e. not really anywhere).
