Ideal place to start your investment banking career.

5.0 of 5 stars

May 2018 | CURRENT EMPLOYEE

Uppers

Highly collegial environment where analysts are treated with respect and dignity. Small deal teams where analysts are given more responsibility than at other firms and have significant exposure to managing directors. Analysts usually enjoy incredible opportunities at private equity firms following the completion of two years.

Downers

As at all top investment banking firms, hours can be unpredictable but management cares about work/life balance and long hours are usually linked to active deals.

Advice to Candidates

To succeed at Greenhill you need to buy-in to the collegial, team-oriented culture. People at all levels at Greenhill want analysts to succeed and to have a good experience so analysts should seek regular feedback on their performance and not hesitate to ask questions regarding assignments. Analysts that demonstrate the ability to work without supervision will be given responsibilities far beyond their title.
