Midlevel in Equity Capital Markets

4.9 of 5 stars

New York, NY | 2014 | VERIFIED EMPLOYEE

Uppers

Small size, meritocracy, lots of upward mobility and exposure for junior and midlevel employees

Downers

compensation is very stock-heavy; 401K match is terrible

Comments

It is very specific culture so I would do a lot of coffee chats/reference checks with people to make sure you are a fit. Also the base comp is set at certain levels so you could try to negotiate to come in at a slightly higher level (for ex third year associate versus second year) rather than trying to negotiate the base comp which would be difficult
