Private Wealth Advisor

4.0 of 5 stars

August 2017 | FORMER EMPLOYEE

Uppers

Very entrepreneurial role. Great benefits (16 wks maternity leave and also offer paternity leave, 401k match % of salary). Work/life balance is better than other parts of the bank. Very much a meritocracy.

Downers

High pressure and expectations to build a book of business. A lot of turnover in the role for new advisors. Very competitive environment. One of the few post-MBA roles that expects cold-calling.

Comments

For the private wealth advisor role, make sure you know your skillset and what the role fully requires before you accept an offer. It's a dream job for those who will succeed but it is very difficult to succeed and takes a particular skillset and amount of grit.

Extremely rewarding.

people are great

Downers

work is hard

Comments

the firm expects nothing less than a 100% hard work, so the firm is not suited for someone who wants to have a relaxed, less stressful work condition. But if you are you up for the task, the firm is great in providing a place to maximize your potential and talent.

Life changing!
