January 2016 | CURRENT EMPLOYEE
As one of the largest financial institutions in the world, Credit Suisse has an abundance of internal mobility opportunities, including offices in almost every major city in the world. The people are intelligent and driven. Collaborative working environment is encouraged.
The hours can be very long and compensation can vary widely.
To succeed at Credit Suisse, you should have a good grasp on your career goals, a strong work ethic, and ability to work well with others on a consistent basis. Be willing to put in long hours and deal with requests at all times of the day and night, including on weekends. The work can be very rewarding, and the bank's structure offers junior members ample opportunities to advance their careers.

September 2015 | FORMER EMPLOYEE
great place to gain experience and learn the life cycle of a trade, ability to work with global colleagues and do impactful work and take on responsibility if you want it
lots of acronyms to learn and sometimes slow decision making structure like any large global firm, high turnover
salaries are not as high as in some competitors but the benefits are pretty good, easy to be a top performer and outshine your peers if you pay attention, ask good questions, and don't mind putting in a few extra hours a couple of times a week

Midlevel in Sales & Trading | New York, NY | 2015 | VERIFIED EMPLOYEE
It has been five years and I still love coming to work. I feel that I am constantly learning and growing which is an important part of any job.
Credit-Suisse is an outstanding firm and a great place to launch or continue a career. The people are what makes this place great and it is an incredibly collaborative culture. This isn't a firm where people step on each other to get ahead nor is that behavior tolerated or respected - if that's how you operate, CS might not be the best fit.
