A Career Where The "Rubber Meets The Road"

5.0 of 5 stars

Lots of opportunities to explore different career paths, live and work abroad and 'choose your own adventure'. Michelin invests A LOT in training employees; encourages and enables employees to develop new competencies and build on existing skills. Great corporate culture and strategic vision. R&D is very important; Michelin puts a lot of resources toward the development of all of their products and employees feel confident and proud of all products that are offered to consumers. Interesting, talented and diverse workforce including great mix of employees working in NA from other countries.

Often I feel like my creativity is not being able to be used at all due to how structured everything is here. The company is set up to be run very well if the correct people do and perform in the roles that they are designed to do. However, too often you have individuals who are doing their jobs plus others due to other people being pulled to do things that they are not supposed to do either. It can be a bad chain event at times.

Advice to Candidates

Very hard work but overall a good place to work. GoodYear needs to change there management on the floor to more experinced supervisors. For example maybe get supervisors off of the the floor that know the jobs instead of bringing people in that have degrees in business management but no experience.
