Regional carrier Horizon Air Industries brings together the earth and sky in about 40 cities in the western US, Canada, and Mexico. A subsidiary of
Alaska Air Group
since 1986, Horizon does much of its flying from airports in Boise, Idaho; Portland, Oregon; Seattle; and Spokane, Washington. The carrier operates a fleet of approximately 50 aircraft. Horizon provides connecting service under its own brand for sister company Alaska Airlines; the carriers share several code-sharing partners, including
Delta Air Lines
. (Such partnerships allow airlines to sell tickets on one another's flights and thus extend their networks.)
Headquartered at Seattle, Washington, the company has operations, training, and aircraft maintenance facilities in Portland and Spokane, as well as line maintenance stations in Boise, Bellingham, Eugene, San Jose, Medford, Redmond, Seattle, and Spokane.
Horizon serves cities in California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, Baja California Sur (Mexico) and Alberta and British Columbia (Canada). Its hubs are Seattle, Portland, and Boise.
