Hog Slat manufactures pig farming equipment, including floor slabs
and tiles, as well as hog penning, breeding, feeding, handling, and
watering supplies. It also provides construction services for hog
stalls (farrowing crates) and raises hogs at its own
facilities. Hog Slat also distributes poultry equipment in the
southeastern US through Georgia Poultry Equipment Company and
Eastern Shore Poultry Services.
Hog Slat operates three slat manufacturing plants in North
Carolina, Iowa, and Indiana, and has licensed manufacturers in
Chile and Mexico in addition to a company-owned plant in Romania.
It also operates more than 60 stores in about 16 US states and has
four stores in Europe.
The largest contractor and manufacturer of hog equipment in the
US, Hog Slat employs 1,000 people directly employed and an
additional 1,400 subcontractors working on the company's various

The company's annual manufacturing capacity is 900,000 slats (which
can accommodate more than 600,000 sows); it produces 2 million
pounds of fabricated product per week.
Hog Slat's premium private labels brands include; Aqua Chief,
GroDoser medicators, Grower Select, TriDEK flooring, and Windstorm
TDM Farms, the hog production division of Hog Slat (and which has
operations in North Carolina, Indiana, and Illinois) sells more
than 500,000 market hogs a year.

Hog Slat sells through its network of retail stores and as well
as through distributors in Central and South America, Korea, Japan,
Canada, and Europe.
Leveraging its dominance of the market, the company offers full
turnkey construction services as well as an inventory of
replacement parts, including ventilation, controls, watering,
heating, lighting, ear tags, swine medicators/injectors, feed
carts, heat bulbs, heat lamps, rubber mats, air inlets, auger
motors, brooders, alarm systems, cool cell pumps and plumbing. Hog
Slat is a stocking distributor for a range of manufacturers,
including Dosatron, Multifan, JanAire, Gasolec, Acme, Moldex,
Dura-Prod, and Baldor.
