Consumer research pioneer Dorothy Walker started the firm in 1939;
the Walker family continues to own the company.
One of the market research firm's chief products is its Walker
Loyalty Report. Beginning in 1997, the report helps employers
compare themselves against industry benchmarks when it comes to
employee retention and loyalty. The studies involve surveying at
least 2,500 employees who work in businesses with a workforce
of at least 50 employees.
