The creative minds at Venables Bell & Partners don't mind thinking outside the box for its clients. The advertising agency incorporates both traditional and nontraditional methods of marketing to push the profiles of big brand names, including Coca-Cola, HBO, Napster, and Pacific Gas and Electric Company. In addition to TV, print, and online ads, the agency's design team creates everything from in-store signage displays to bathroom stickers. Other services include media planning and buying. The privately-held firm was founded in the midst of the 2001 dot.com bust by co-creative directors Paul Venables and Greg Bell and president Bob Molineaux.
Venables and Bell quit lucrative jobs as creative directors at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners to launch the start-up after working on a successful national TV account for Microsoft. Since then it has been giving rivals such as Crispin Porter + Bogusky a run for their money, taking ConAgra Foods' Slim Jim account over in 2007.
