Huntsworth PLC is always on the prowl for clients requiring PR services. The company offers a variety of marketing communication services (specializing in public relations) through more than 25 subsidiaries. Huntsworth operates through specialist divisions, each with its own expertise. Its public relations division houses financial communications, public affairs, and consumer focused units while its Huntsworth Health division provides similar services to a more targeted market. The company maintains an international presence on six continents through about 70 offices across the UK, as well as in Hong Kong, Madrid, New York, and Tokyo.
Huntsworth has grown rapidly through acquisitions. In early 2011, it obtained Atomic PR, a public relations firm owning offices in London, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco. Atomic PR has expertise in the digital, social media, and search engine optimization arenas and will add to Huntsworth's Grayling operations. To expand Grayling's capabilities in the US initially, Huntsworth acquired Washington, DC-based lobbying firm Dutko Worldwide in December 2009.
In order to simplify its operating structure and increase its responsiveness to clients, Huntsworth reorganized its 26 brands and subsidiaries into four: Grayling, Citigate, Red, and Huntsworth Health. In the past, the company has also been focused on enhancing its Huntsworth Health division. It laid the division's foundation through the purchase of health care advertising agency Dorland back in 2007. Each year the division represents about 25% of the company's overall total sales.
