These hills are alive with the sound of advertising. Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos -- which does business as Hill Holliday -- is a full-service advertising agency operating through offices in Boston, New York City, and Greenville, South Carolina. It offers creative development and campaign management services along with media planning, brand promotion, direct marketing, customer relationship management, and corporate communications. In addition, the firm offers expertise in Hispanic marketing strategies. Clients have included Dunkin' Donuts, CVS, Chili's Grill & Bar, and Liberty Mutual. Founded in 1968, the agency is part of advertising services giant Interpublic Group.
Hill Holliday's long-time working relationship with CVS came to an end in early 2010, when CVS decided to put its creative and media work up for review from different agencies and Hill Holiday decided not to participate. The agency had worked with CVS for eight years. It bounced back later in the year, winning advertising and media planning accounts with Supercuts and Major League Baseball.
In late 2009, Hill Holliday brought its broadcast, print, and digital production services under one unit for greater efficiency. The new structure helps the agency simultaneously produce mass and digital communications for clients.
Former chairman Jack Connors started the agency as Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos with partners George Hill, Alan Holliday, and Stavros Cosmopulos. Interpublic acquired Hill Holliday for about $115 million in 1998.
