Elliott Davis Decosimo is one of the largest accounting, tax,
and consulting firms in the Southeast U.S. and one of the 30
largest in the nation. It is the product of the January 2015 merger
between Greenville, S.C.-based Elliott Davis and Chattanooga,
Tenn.-based Decosimo. The firm is led by Richard E. "Rick" Davis,
previously the managing shareholder of Elliott Davis. In addition
to offices in South Carolina and Tennessee, the firm has outposts
in North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Ohio, and the Cayman Islands.
Elliott Davis Decosimo employs more than 800 people and has annual
revenues of $120 million.
The firm's assurance and audit team works across industry lines,
providing audit, assurance, annual reporting, IPO services,
internal audits, international services, and more. Advisory
services include business advisory, valuations, transaction
services, risk management, litigation support, cost segregation, IT
auditing, fraud investigation, as well as grant and economic
incentive services. Meanwhile, the firm's tax division provides
state and local tax services, estate and succession planning,
international tax services, and not-for-profit reporting.
Industry-wise, Elliott Davis works primarily with financial
institutions, construction companies, manufacturers and
distributors, governments and nonprofits, closely held businesses,
and real estate companies.
