Founded in1969, Armanino is one of the 25 largest accounting
firms in the U.S. by revenue. It's also the largest accounting and
business consulting firm headquartered in California.
In 2017, the firm completed its acquisition of the Dallas-based
accounting firm Travis Wolff, which is expected to add $22 million
in revenues. Prior to that, in recent years, Armanino's revenues
had climbed by as much as 30 percent per year.
Armanino's recent era of growth was ushered in by Andy Armanino
in 2005 when he became managing partner. Since taking the helm,
Armanino has more than doubled the accounting firm's headcount. He
has been included in Accounting Today's "Top 100 Most
Influential People in Accounting" list and the San Francisco
Business Times' "Most Admired CEOs" list.
Given Armanino's proximity to Silicon Valley, it's no surprise
that the firm's largest industry group is its technology practice.
In fact, the firm's high-tech clients have included local heavy
hitters like AutoDesk, Yahoo!, and Wildfire. Armanino's
remaining industry groups are manufacturing and distribution,
health care, retail, not-for-profit, professional services, private
education, real estate, SEC and financial services. Over the years
the firm has worked with some big names in California, including
eBay, Electronic Arts, Brocade, The SF
Symphony, SCPA, and Goodwill.
Today, Armanino has approximately 900 professionals. It operates
out of several offices in the San Francisco Bay Area, and has
additional offices in Los Angeles, and Woodland Hills, Calif.;
Naperville, Ill.; and Dallas, Tex.
