IE has a very open-minded admissions policy, with friendly and accessible [personnel] providing information sessions in major cities around the world or on campus. The school has a rolling admissions system, which is one of the major differences from other European top schools' system. In addition, IE has its own admissions test (in English) other than GMAT so the applicants can choose to submit a GMAT score or to take the school's admissions test. Because of this, however, some students who are very weak in analytical skills can be accepted. Overall, the admissions process has some flexibilities and IE values applicants' experiences and background rather than just their academic performance.

The quality of classes is quite good. Never in any school do you like all the professors and the way they teach, so similar instances exist here, as well. But, over all, it's very good. The staff is young and dynamic, and most of the faculty have an excellent background and have studied in renowned universities.
The grading system follows the bell curve, which simply means your grade is relative to the top scorer in your batch/class. Considering it is a one-year MBA and a highly ranked school, the workload is too much and sometimes can be very stressful. It is very important to prioritize. Sometimes it's not possible to do everything assigned, so you have to prioritize where and on what you would like to focus more.
There are many interesting electives and the process of attaining them is via bidding. Its a hassle-free process. But as they say, the quality of a class is the students and not the professors. In IE, the diversity is amazing and very enriching.

Several assessments are provided to the student during the MBA, including sessions with head-hunters. The assessment is different depending on the student background, which is really advantageous. Several companies have a close contact with the IE business school, and this helps to establish a close contact with the personnel. Apart from this, during the MBA, the IE Business School organizes an event for the students, at which several important companies are present and students can attend and discuss potential positions with the HR present at this event.

Several events are organized by the school and the different communities built by students in the school. There are communities built for the different nationalities of the students (such as Mexico, the U.S. and French-speaking students), sport clubs (tennis, basketball, soccer and so on.). The student favorites are the sport clubs, the country communities, in which all the IE students are invited to know more about a specific country and culture, and the social clubs (gourmet club, including the "bar of the week" section, which all IE students can attend and meet each other).
