Next week, Vault and the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) will hold their 5th Annual Legal Diversity Career Fair. The event will take place at the Renaissance Hotel in Washington, D.C. on July 30, 2010 from 8 am to 4 pm.

This year, the event will kick off with a special breakfast where Vault will unveil its 2011 Law Firm Diversity Rankings, the result of its annual Law Firm Associate Survey. The Law Firm Diversity Leaders Breakfast is part of a month-long roll-out of the Vault Law Firm Rankings which will begin on July 20, 2010. Earlier this year, more than 15,000 law firm associates rated their employers on a variety of issues, including diversity with respect to minority, women and GLBT attorneys. At the career fair breakfast, Vault will reveal these diversity rankings and honor the Top 20 law firms who were the most highly rated by their own associates for their commitment to hiring, retaining and promoting diverse attorneys.

Following breakfast, candidates will have the opportunity to meet and network with recruiters representing more than 30 legal employers, including law firms, government agencies, corporate law departments and nonprofit organizations. Lunch, sponsored by Morgan Lewis, will feature Carolyn Lamm, president of the American Bar Association, as the keynote speaker. Registration for the Career Fair is still open. For more information about the event, read the press release.

And stay tuned for the roll-out of Vault’s 2011 Law Firm Rankings starting tomorrow!
