At the close of 2013, New York-based Kramer Levin—which ranked No. 22 in Vault’s latest rankings of the top White Collar Defense firms—represented the former SAC Capital trader Michael S. Steinberg, who was convicted of insider trading and now faces up to 85 years in prison. And two weeks ago, Goodwin Procter rested its case on behalf of another former SAC trader, Matthew Martoma, who was subsequently convicted of two counts of securities fraud and one count of conspiracy and now faces up to 20 years in prison.
