Today’s Spring Bonus News:

Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP: Paul Hastings announced its 2010 bonuses (late to the party, but at least they arrived) and spring bonuses today. The firm’s bonuses are not lockstep. For 2010 bonuses, the firm has three levels of bonus awards and discretionary bonuses for stand-out attorneys who didn’t meet the hours requirement. The 2010 bonus scale is in line with the scale Cravath announced in November. The firm’s spring bonuses are also similar to Cravath’s spring bonus scale, but there is no bonus award listed for the Class of 2010. The firm will not implement levels of bonus awards for spring bonuses—eligible associates will receive the same spring bonus award as others in their class year. But the firm will offer discretionary spring bonuses of half the bonus amount to those who receive discretionary 2010 bonuses.
