The iPad: the future of document review?

How soon until every litigator is issued an iPad? The Young Lawyers Blog extols the tablet’s virtues in the management of large scale document productions. Waller Lansden’s Brian Malcolm explains some recent, relevant technical tweaks to the device and gushes about the “convenience of being able to carry tens of thousands of pages in a lightweight electronic device with a fantastic user experience” (which is surely one of the most upbeat things ever said on the subject of document review).

UPDATE: Litigation boutique Edelson McGuire is breaking new ground on the perks front. The firm is giving away iPads to everyone at the firm. According to ATL, "the lucky recipients include attorneys, administrative staff, and even some law students who are working for the firm part-time."
