The Senate today has confirmed the appointment of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the U.S. Supreme Court by a 68-31 vote. Sotomayor, who replaces retired Justice David Souter, will become the 111th justice, the first Hispanic and the third woman to serve on the Court.

As we welcome the first Latina to the highest court in the country, we also remind readers that tomorrow is the fourth annual Vault/MCCA Legal Diversity Career Fair. With dozens of exhibitors—including law firms, corporate employers, government and nonprofit agencies—and panel discussions addressing job interviews, personal branding, networking and opportunities in government, this is a must-attend event for diverse candidates in the New York area.
