Attorneys Among Highest Earners

A recent study by a group of economists places attorneys within the elite group of big money makers in the United States. Based on a review of tax returns, lawyers comprise 6.2 percent of the highest earners in America: the .1 percent of the nation who rake in $1.7 million and up. Significantly outnumbered by executives at nonfinance-based entities and those in finance, however, lawyers are in the minority of these top earners.
