Androvett Legal Media & Marketing (“Androvett”), a legal-focused public relations and advertising firm, has compiled a list of strategies to help law firms excel in 2011: the “Legal 11” for 2011. Androvett’s message is clear: put down the feather pens, get out of your caves, and get thee online, law firms. Swap your Bluebook for an SEO book, stop billing for a few minutes and start tweeting, and put your name in cyberspace lights.

2011

Based on my earlier post on law firm twitter accounts, it seems that about half of the Vault Law 100 firms are starting off 2011 on the right social foot. But this is 2011, and in this Internet-obsessed age, half isn’t that impressive. As Androvett’s founder Mike Androvett shared with PR Newswire, "The online world is where lawyers are making their mark and landing new business, and that trend is only getting stronger.” In this economy, can you really afford not to take advantage of new business opportunities?

If you're still wary of the online world, Androvett’s "Legal 11" goes beyond cyber-and-media marketing. The list also emphasizes planning, setting goals, and maintaining relationships. Below is an excerpt of Androvett’s "Legal 11." You can find the full list with Androvett’s advice on the firm’s website (see below).
