Will there be any commencement after commencement?

Well, it's graduation time, so you know what that means -- lots of newspaper and magazine features on the shiny new alumni and what their employment plans are. (Or, alternatively, what their coping plans are once they come to terms with the fact that no one's hiring.) The Economist published several articles earlier this month: one on where candidates will likely end up, and another that offered testimonials from five Kellogg biz school students, scrambling to secure jobs like lobstermen adrift on a choppy sea. BusinessWeek ran a piece about hunting for an internship (leading to a full-time gig later on?) while on B-school summer break.

Meanwhile, the online version of Fortune published a list of 100 Top MBA Employers. Which is unique only in that the title's misleading -- these aren't the top companies recruiting MBAs, but the first choices for employment among grad students. (Google's No. 1, naturally.) Fortune does analyze the hiring prospects at each in a separate section (15 Top MBA Employers). BusinessWeek offers its own (better) commentary on another ranking of the "Most Desirable Employers" (compiled by Universum USA) -- it's somewhat different, though the Big G is still on top.
