Ode to the Blingrupt

Ode to the Blingrupt
‘Twas ponzipaloosa, and the slithy brokerers
Did scofit and fraudit in the Davy Jones Index;
All bankholed were the financial sucktor,
And the drivelatives quantitatively fassets teased.
“Beware the Econorrhea, my son!
The defiscalation, the statiscry!
Beware the greenspanspin, and shun
The derolexing priaponomics!”
He took his dollardrum sword in hand:
Long time the creditastrophic foe he sought—
So rested he by the Econorrhea tree,
And stood awhile in thought.
And as in stimulescent thought he stood,
The Econorrhea, with eyes of flame,
Came misundermanaged through the fiscapocalyptic wood,
And derivilified as it came!
One, two! One, two! and through and through
The dollardrum blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went coda popping back.
“And hast thou slain the Econorrhea?
Come to my arms, my beamish blingrupt!
O unbondaged day! Callooh! Callay!”
He chortled in his joy.
‘Twas ponzipaloosa, and the slithy brokerers
Did scofit and fraudit in the Davy Jones Index;
All bankholed were the financial sucktor,
And the drivelatives quantitatively fassets teased.
