Job Search Resource of the Week (6/16/09): Our other blogs!

Published: Jun 16, 2009

We know you've grown to love us here at Pink Slipped -- and yes, the feeling is mutual (so there's no need to deal with that awkward silence when one's profession of love isn't returned). But just so you know, there are other folks at Vault who produce engaging industry-specific blogs to keep you ahead of the curve. (It's not cheating if we give you permission.)

Our investment management/commercial banking/accounting blog is entitled "In the Black," a name that recalls the good old days when financial firms were like a flock of golden geese, untroubled by red ink. "Void for Vagueness," with pieces that comment on current events and employment issues in law firms and in the corporate environment, speaks to legal students and practicing attorneys. The ins and outs of the consulting industry's key players (along with tips on hiring and news of the latest job reductions) make up "Consult THIS." Our other blogs have more transparent titles ("Deb's Career Corner," "Six-Figure Start," "Your HR Guy," and "How to Find the Perfect Job"); another ("Erik Sorenson's Career Nation") will be taking off shortly. All of these globally-focused blogs are well-written and worthy of your time. They may even provoke a smile or two with their wry take as they offer insight as to what's really going on behind the scenes (something that can't help but boost your credibility in a job interview situation).

All these resources reside here.
