In Case You Missed It: Week of September 8, 2009

Because of the shortness of the week, we Pink Slippers were busier than ever. Here's a quick recap of the week's most notable and/or entertaining posts.

Tuesday we told you about how Elmo has cut back on spending since his Mom lost her job (and provided a video to boot). The job search advice of the week? Get thee to a political campaign, unexpected source of all sorts of benefits (except a salary).

For Wednesday, Pink Slipped told you that the shine of the medical profession (or at least, that of a primary care doctor) has worn off for many students. We also handed you a quote of the day courtesy of the founder of Internet start-up Mixx, and provided list of job fairs to be held around the country through next week.

Yesterday we crowned the health insurance industry career of the week, and extolled the virtues(!) of Twitter for both job seeker and corporate recruiters. Earlier today we pointed out that falling income and rising poverty are positively correlated. (Pure genius.)
