In Case You Missed It: Week of July 6, 2009

Published: Jul 10, 2009

Here's a handy rundown of some of the notable Pink Slipped posts from earlier this week.

Monday brought us "You're not gonna know unless you ask" (in which Vault members sounded off on the latest unemployment figures), and "Get On the Road with Slate" (in which a Slate.com agent will visit various locations that received stimulus money to sort out the bill's impact on local communities).

Tuesday told of mediabistro.com's On Demand programs in the "Job Search Resource of the Week," and asked if "Riffing on the Recession ...Has Officially Gone Too Far."

Wednesday welcomed a "Today's Jobs in Your Area" that included postings for a geological engineer in Massachusetts and a dean for the University of Nebraska's College of Journalism. That was a bonus on top of our usual giftlist of Job Fairs and Events across the country.

And yesterday (also known as Thursday) yielded a "Stump the Intern!" and a story about the raft of currently employed workers who are anticipating new jobs in 12 months or so -- there are a lot of them! -- all pinned on a nautical theme in "Come sail away on the U.S.S. Disgruntled."

To access any of the older posts (at least for the time being), click on the bottom of the Pink Slipped page where it says "View all entries" to be whisked away to a link-filled index.

After reviewing all those items, take a deep breath and exhale -- you are now ready for the weekend. Enjoy!
