Imagine If You Had A Job.

Published: Jan 12, 2010

I recently returned from a trip to Europe and happened upon a tiny country I had never heard, called Lichtenstein. It has a population of about 30,000 and is 62 square miles. It is one of the world’s oldest principalities, along with Monaco and the Vatican. According to our tour guide, the unemployment rate of this tiny country is 0.0. Everyone works! There are 12,000 people of working age and they are all employed and occupied, most in manufacturing jobs. The philosophy is that the government nurtures them so that the workers give back and are productive. It seems to be a mutually beneficial mentality and way of living.

Everyone has a job! How amazing is that? Some European countries are known to employ creative ideas in successful job creation, such as “short term work programs” and other innovative support systems. Read more on the benefits of on the job training.
