Listen up, people: Persons who live in the Louisville, Kentucky area can look forward to a small wave of job openings. GE just announced it will hire about 400 workers over the course of the next couple of years for its appliance plant there. Months ago GE said it wanted to sell off the unit, but apparently there's been some change of heart -- the facility is being ramped up to produce a new class of energy-efficient electric water heaters.
