We're not the only ones keeping up with the latest in layoffs, and while we love having you around, we wouldn't want to deprive you of all the useful info out there. With that in mind, here's a brief roundup of our fellow layoff-conscious internet friends:

  • Layoff Tracker - http://layofftracker.blogspot.com
A comprehensive listing of layoffs across all industries, updated daily. Shameless self promotion: We have our own version of a layoff tracker, updated equally dilligently, here.
  • Latest Layoff News - http://www.latestlayoffnews.com
The latest news of employee layoffs, primarily in the USA and Canada, but around the world as well. Guess you could have figured that one out for yourself.
  • Layoff Maps - http://www.layoffmaps.com
A map-based tool to track layoffs which are individually reported (anonymously, so feel free to report yourself). Also offers layoff news, forums to connect with others, and map-based job searching.
  • OMG! Yahoo Layoffs - http://yahoolayoffs.com
Straight from their 'About' section: "This is about Yahoo - a company that is imploding before our very eyes. Microsoft wants a hostile takeover, Yahoo! is now trying to run and hide behind the likes of News Corp. They have laid-off over a thousand employees. What's next? OMG OMG OMG!"
  • Jobless and Less - http://www.joblessandless.com
This space is dubbed "The blog for the employmentally challenged" by creator Norm Elrod, who claims that "After 4 layoffs in 8 years, I know all about unemployment and this whole job search thing." News, tips, articles, plenty of anecdotal humor, and the occasional music post.
  • Layoff Blog - http://layoffblog.com
Layoff news and info broken down into categories.
  • TechCrunch Layoff Tracker - http://www.techcrunch.com/layoffs
Tracking layoffs in the tech community, over 300,000 as of yesterday.
  • Twitter Layoff Chatter - http://search.twitter.com/search?q=layoff
We've mentioned in this space more than once the value of social networking in your job search. If you've joined the twitterati in hopes of meeting up with your Job Angel, do a quick Twitter Search for "layoffs" to see people tweeting about layoffs and being laid off, and get in on the conversation.
