"Digitally Remastered" for the Recession...

Published: Apr 13, 2009

Let's say that your internship has come to an end, you're awaiting the results of your bar exam, and you're having a tough time finding a new job in the meantime. What do you do to fill the hours? If you're like one such idler, you set up an account on YouTube and post "digitally remastered" music videos like these:

The videos are authentic, but the duo registered as "Stonerperv" dub in their own musical interpretation of the songs. That's them playing the instruments and hilariously "singing." I can't stop laughing, especially when reading the comments on YouTube. There are a lot of irate people out there seriously upset that their favorite song's been messed with and that they were tricked by the "digitally remastered" description. Check out more of their videos from Boyz II Men, The Smiths, Huey Lewis, and more here.

Any Pink Slipped readers out there with their own quirky lay off projects out there? We'd love to know about them!
