Create You 2.0 with the Personal Branding Blog

Published: Feb 26, 2009

Feel free to call me out for being late to the party (like, "the booze was gone hours ago, the cops have already come through on two separate noise complaints, and the girl you came to see went home with some guy after she thought you stood her up" late), but if you aren't one of the 2,950 RSS subscribers or 8,970 Twitter followers doing so already, you need to be reading Dan Schawbel's Personal Branding Blog.

If you're spending all your waking hours refreshing online job sites and calling up anyone and everyone in your network of colleagues, friends and family who might have job leads, you're doing the right thing, but you're not doing enough to differentiate yourself from the masses of others doing it also. Personal Branding Blog embraces the prevalance of web 2.0 and offers content aimed toward helping you forge a personal brand in order to extend your reach and visibility and gain a competitive advantage in the crowded job marketplace.

Like I said, you can call me late to the party, but I'm just blown away by the depth of Personal Branding Blog's content. There seems to be a limitless number of articles, interviews, research and podcasts, each one more thorough and useful than the last. Articles on topics from landing consulting work between jobs to guides on how to blog and introductions to the concept of personal branding are just a small sampling of the content available.

The market is crowded, people everywhere are vying for the few jobs available, and you're tired of burning your retinas while surfing the 'net in your robe all day. We know. That's why now it's more important than ever to do a little reading on Personal Branding Blog and create You 2.0. Sorry again for showing up late. If none of this is news to you, send us a little feedback on your Personal Branding Blog success stories or experiences by leaving a comment or emailing us at PinkSlipped@Vault.com.
