Candy bars or barbeque sliders? [Free stuff Fridays]

If there's one thing we like here at Pink Slipped HQ, it's chocolate. And if it's free chocolate, so much the better. And if there's another thing we like, it's companies playing the populist "here's your bailout/relief from the recession" card. You can only imagine the joy we felt, then, when we found out that the good folks at Mars appear to have passed a "Real Chocolate Relief Act."

That's right, every Friday until the end of August, the first 250,000 people to register at this site) between 9 am and 12 pm ET will get their hands on a voucher for a free candy bar. You'll have to move fast, though; the Pink Slipped printer is already working overtime cranking out the vouchers for the 249,000 of us working to bring you these quality updates!

If one measly candy bar doesn’t seem like it'll do the business, why not grab a bunch of your friends (or some people you've never met) and take advantage of the BYOB (that's Bring Your Own Buddy) deal currently running at T.G.I. Friday's. OK, so it's not exactly free, and it's available every day until the end of August, but with $5 off an entrée for every companion you bring, it's not a bad deal. And if you don't tell your friends about the discount, it could well end up being "Free at Friday's" for you—not that we'd ever condone such behavior, of course.
