Call Me Now For Your Free Reading! [Free Stuff Fridays]

Published: Jul 10, 2009

With all the free time in the world to get some quality reading done, and none of the money to afford books, you may find yourself spending way too much on the internet, that vast, never-ending treasure trove of inane, unedited and trivial nonsense. While none of this is likely to fall under that category of "quality" reading, it's understandable that you'd waste your time this way, as all of the aforementioned silliness is available for free. But what if I told you that you could use those same interwebs to read a real book, chock full of words and, you know, quality, for the low low price of Free Ninety Nine? Is that something you might be interested in?

Courtesy of J.T. O'Donnell's Careerealism (a site we've lauded in this space more than once), we present to you It's A Wonderful Job by Dale Dauten. What do you do when you write a book whose primary audience is unemployed people, and your publisher tells you to take a hike because "Everyone knows unemployed people don't buy books?" You give that bad boy away, that's what! Dauten felt that his story could still help a lot of people, despite what those uppity publishers thought, so he decided to offer free downloads of an audio book and an e-Book in the hopes that people like you would use the book and pass it on. Why? It's like we keep telling you - you can only begin to get something for yourself when you start thinking about what you can give to others.

Happy Friday, Pink Slipped. Give me what I want.
