Fast Company recently released its list of the top 100 creative people in business and, after perusing FC’s picks, I found the following facts darn interesting and worth repeating:

No. 17, Stephen Chau, the Google Maps guru who’s only 29 years old, formerly worked at Goldman Sachs, and while at Goldman, he worked on his current employer’s monstrous IPO.

No. 37, Susan Athey, 38-years old, is a Harvard professor as well as Microsoft’s chief economist.

No. 55, Greg Gillis, aka Girl Talk, who puts on quite a live show while finger picking a mere laptop to cue up his marvelous mashups, is an ex-biomedical engineer.

No. 57, Susan Wu, who appears to be not a day over 30, is kicking behind in the very male dominated world of venture capital, hitting it out of the park with investments like Twitter and Conduit Labs.

No. 100, Chris Ferguson, the first online poker player to pocket a million-dollar prize, has a PhD in computer science from UCLA, and, perhaps not surprisingly, his pops is a game theorist professor.
