The End of Capitalism? Author Tom Wolfe Talks Finance

Bonfire of the Vanities’ author Tom Wolfe might no be an economist, but he has some pretty interesting theories about the current state of the economy. Earlier this week, Wolfe told The New York Times why he thinks globalization might “come back to bite us,” what he meant by saying Blackstone going public could be the “end of capitalism as we know it,” and what the etymology of the word credit has to do with the subprime crisis.
