No Deal, Says Congress; Bad Deal, Say Economists

For a few minutes today, it looked as if Congress was about to John Hancock the heck out of Hank Paulson's $700 billion bailout, but now it appears that politicians are nowhere near signing, and more than 150 prominent economists say this a very good thing, calling the current proposal majorly flawed, advising Congress to think twice before passing anything.
