When you’re arch enemy beats the snot out of you in the second quarter, booking millions in profits while you post big-time losses because you decided risky wasn’t the way you wanted to play it, this is what you do: hire about half a thousand high-stakes gamblers to get you back on track.

In related news: sources tell me that, in addition to Morgan Stanley, a few other banks on the Street are actively hiring laterally, both at the analyst and associate level, meaning it might be a good time to stop couch surfing and start resume dropping.
